One would think this is trivial. Yes, it is, once you know how. So here is how it is done.
- Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management
- Then go to Local Users and Groups
- Select the Users folder, choose your user and look at it’s properties
- There is check box called “Password never expires“
- Uncheck that.
It is not sufficient to set the maximum password age. That only forces you to change the password when it is that old.
